Nanjo’s Facial Expression reveals a little about who he is.

Because we don’t have Nanjo pov and I hope it stays that way like the author mentioned in their creators note ,but I can’t help but to analyze his facial expressions every time I read. Ever since the first season that’s all we’ve had to rely on. Nanjo is someone who is used to keeping things above the surface which is why I think he was so “attracted” or “obsessed” with SunSun. With SunSun it didn’t have to be that deep as it’s gotten with Mok. In this chapter before Mok gives his balls a name lmao his facial expression is the opposite of what the collective is interpreting it as or passed the second hand embarrassment of someone whose never had the opportunity to be that intimate with another. I too have become obsessed with my past partners smell. He’s genuinely baffled. He’s confused as to how Mok can be so enamored with him when he hasn’t done anything to deserve it from (his understanding). He hasn’t had to buy Mok anything besides the banana piercing and even then he went and found the priciest one and was a little embarrassed when handing it over because he’s unsure on how to please Mok. With SunSun he’s spent a lot of money rather jewelry, liquor, hotels ,or even offering up his body to have a threesome. It’s a surface level exchange. Not too deep, (to him) but with Mok it’s a different story. Obvi we don’t know much about his background story but from what we’ve gotten so far Nanjo is someone who doesn’t like to go that deep Chap 27. Mok asks “Is Sunwha really that important to you? Important enough that you’d endure everything I put you through?” To which Nanjo responded “Does it even matter how much I have to put up with?” Implying he’s used to sacrificing himself for the sake of others it’s almost as if it’s second hand nature to him.(Hero complex we often see.) Even in chap 38 he rushes to tell Mok “you don’t know me” but previously we see his facial expression melt or soften because with Mok he’s able to go beyond the surface no matter how much he tries to guard it. Somehow some way Mok dips down. Take the apartment, Mok doesn’t care about showing him where he lives he’s open and honest with his desires while Nanjo took him to an apartment he doesn’t really stay in often. He keeps part of himself hidden. Or the skateboard that people keep being overly weird about he places his foot there from comfortability familiarity even in Mok’s presence that place feels like Mok and who he is and Nanjo can somewhat let his guard down when he’s around him which he questions even himself through facial expression and body language. Love this story down to the grouuundddd.
