After rereading the previous chapter and authors note, I think there has been a lot of misinterpretation if Nanjo. He isn't a violent person and basically says so himself with Mok showed up to his office at the start of the story and asked him why he didn't slap his hand away. Beating Mok up like that was very out of character, coming from a place of hurt, pain, and anger. Also, he is naturally caring throughout the series and says one thing but does another constantly. We see that when he waits for Mok for hours, helps him even when he doesn't need to, and even in the car he hands him a tissue. He tells Mok to sit correctly so that he is safe and even offers to pay for the hospital bills even though he has no olbigation to do so. As the author has stated, his face reveals a lot. He seems sympathetic in the car listening to Mok when he was drunk (the apology part), he ran to the hospital room in minutes after the call suddenly ended, and his face is obviously showing concern over the drastic weight change in this most recent chapter. Also, he asks Mok what he wants and he doesn't use Mok’s first answer as an excuse to leave… rather he asks him if that's what he really wants. Why? Because he actually cares despite denying it himself. He feels bad that he caused him harm because that's not like him. I am not saying that they are going to kiss and makeup in the next chapter, but what I will say is that because it isn't in Nanjos POV we have to look more towards his actions. Especially since he is constantly doing the opposite of what he says. Of course this is my personal analysis and I could be wrong, but I just wanted to share so others might be able to see some things they miss.
