Gonna give my two cents...

I liked this chapter a lot. Contrary to what I'm reading in some comments.

It is insane, yes. Cringy, yes. Fictional, absolutely yes. But it made me laugh hard and I appreciate that after how heavy and intense the beginning of this season was. Also cmonnn Mok is drunk, the balls convo should be taken having that in mind lol

For those who are saying that the important and serious aspects of the story are being now softened and pushed in order to bring in the romance arc. It may be true, but we still have to see what Nanjo is gonna reply to Mok's heartfelt apology in ch40. And yes, we still having remnants of Mok POV so things are still on his side of the balance. We yet to see Nanjo's POV and I'm desperate for that tbh.

I really want to know what happened with Mok suicidal attempt aswell. I still cannot figure if latest chaps are prior or after the attempt bc I was checking and I dont see any marks on his wrists. Nanjo has paid attention to Mok marks and scars before, and had commented on them (refer to their aftermath on ch25 when their on the bed chatting) so I'm sure Nanjo would have noticed any other visible mark on Mok and so far nothing has been mentioned...
As for Nanjo standing on his ground for all of the manipulation Mok has done. I will leave them both the benefit of the doubt until more chapters are out. Bc maybe in the next chapter Nanjo will clarify where he is standing and might not be open to reconnect with Mokyeon even after his honest apology. Yes, Mokyeon cried A LOT, but have you spent at least one minute to think that Mokyeon in distressed situations is at best, still a child? Man fucked up big time, and never had a proper adult to teach him basic morale. He is learning on his own by fucking it up and tries to be accountable the only way he can... On the other hand I applaud and salute Nanjo for being so dignified and true to his own agency, he stood his ground and so far he still does but he's a big empathetic person and he is now giving Mok a small opportunity to explain himself better.
Is the story losing momentum from exploring heavier themes? Maybe but the season is not even half way thru for what I see so I'll just wait for next chapters to see how these serious subjects are brought again for later discussions. If they're not brought up well yeah that would be a pitty.

Anyway I hope Nanjo fucks the shit outta Mokyeon whenever they decide to reconcile lmao Nanjo is so fucking yummy istg and he's giving so much top energy it should be studied Mok won't stand a chance lmaooo (︶◡︶)ノ~
