Really melancholic and painful to read, especially up to the last chapter. At the end of the day, that is the relationship between a human and a spirit. One day, the human will grow old and inevitably die, and the spirit will have to move on before meeting their eventual end too, outliving their human partner. I knew while reading that the story would probably lead up to it from previous experience, and I was bracing for it. Still, it wasn't enough. At least they're happy and together in the afterlife, and that's all that matters.
