Originally the reason was the transition to the side stories I think.
But it looks like that one of the side stories will probably not be adapted for now, and the author (of the novel) actually wanted to release a new one later this year.
The reason they gave for prolonging of the hiatus is health issues, so it possible that one of them fell ill, or still is.
How'd we go from the hiatus ending in mid-September to ending in October 15?? 6 weeks turned into 12 weeks. And there's like TWO CHAPTERS LEFT!!!!!
