Y'all, I'm honestly just crying and heartbroken for all of the kids who had been used in all of the horrifying ways possible... As a survivor myself reading the excerpts from the books they found about how much the kids has suffered just broke me. Guess in the end the real monsters really were just humans. Can't even call it cliche when it's just the truth...
I have a theory regarding why only specific people gets possessed by the black sea. I think they're only able to possess those who have already given up their lives or just fully accept the sea. Like, the dad got possessed cause he was suicidal, the othe girl who had a baby got possessed when she went to the sea searching for her little sister who was probably lost already. The prisoner also fully accepted the sea when was about to drown.
The Kanagi is actually more complicated i think? I think being "blessed" really is just randomized. It was just a complete coincidence that our mc was blessed at that time during his attack. I previously thought that being blessed had the same condition as being possessed but then there were kids who were seeming loved but suddenly just received the powers. So maybe it really is just random? And the god watch over them is just a messed up being who expects literal children to save everyone in the island? Idk y'all share some theories of yours
