Taeseo has been iffy from the start; their relationship itself wasn't healthy to begin with, ESPECIALLY when there's a clear power imbalance between them. I don't think it's that much of a whiplash to see Taeseo acting this way because we WERE seeing his thoughts; he was always degrading Yeomin and putting him down, never listening to him, and always doing what he wants despite Yeomin's protest. It just slowly got possessive over time. Tbh I'd personally say their characters are consistent. I do like the pacing as well.
