I don’t think I can express my appreciation of the MC enough. I’m autistic and when I was growing up I had a really hard time navigating the social rules of female friendship, so I often ended up hanging with male friends. But I never saw them as male friends only friends. They did not so a lot of friendships have ended in a traumatic way for me. And so the panic she feels when she got that text is so relatable. I can feel it in my whole body and it kinda hurts.
