If you're having dry sex with a male partner, or your just feeling dry in general, it's not the foreskin that's the problem it's the foreplay lol jk it could be a multitude of things just likely NOT the foreskin. Maybe you just don't like the look so it's not a turn on for you. That's ok! Lube is there for you just in case!
There were some really old studies that thought this but many larger scale and newer studies show no difference if you're curious on the science front. Also most medical organizations find little to no medical benefit of circumcision and leave it up to cultural, religious or personal choice. Either way, men should be cleaning their dick to avoid problems. If the man has a hygiene problem, then sure removing the foreskin might help because they just have to clean less.
If you look up the history, it was rarely done for any real/validated medical benefit and more as a moral high ground or humiliation!

I’m confused, I’m in support of foreskin? What was your point? You’re arguing against something I never said. Foreskin doesn’t create more lubrication, it changes the mechanics of intercourse and can help RETAIN the lubrication already there which is why shower sex works with an uncircumcised man.
O’Hara & O’Hara (1999) specifically described the foreskin’s gliding action as reducing friction and loss of vaginal secretions. Another study then found women’s reported adequate lubrication dropped from 78% before their partners were circumcised to 63% afterward. Later systematic reviews absolutely did not conclude “new studies show no difference.” They called the evidence mixed/indeterminate and noted that studies associated with circumcised partners had MORE vaginal dryness and pain.
So, I’m not saying foreskin magically makes women produce lube. I’m saying uncircumcised helps retain natural secretions, which allows gentle gliding, reduced friction, and keeping lubrication where it’s useful.
Ah I thought you were saying the opposite cause of the comment with you reacted to was "it wasn't slippery at all" followed by "this really isn't the case unless the guy is uncircumcised" so my brain went "not slippy because uncircumcised" My misreading then! And yes! Foreskin can help with gliding! I'm glad for the additional addition of knowledge and agreement! I wasn't trying to argue - so much as share knowledge and hopefully help anyone who may have had dry sex, that it may not be the foreskin at all but regardless there are options available! There are many reasons sex may be "not slippery" and it's usually not cause of foreskin or not. :) I love the citing though! <3 honestly I know there's a lot of studies at this point just didn't bother going to the NIH website lol
