I feel sympathetic to his backstory, but at the same time it’s so difficult to be understanding when you’re actively seeing him navigate a conversation with Michele like an abuser would. He’s so good at making Michele seem narrow minded and making himself seem subservient while entirely driving the conversation to make Michele look like the bad guy.
I’m sorry dude Michele is barely an adult, he isn’t his father who hurt and abused you, this dude just believed he spent a month falling in hopeless and agonising love with a servant only to realise he was being deceived all along by his fiancée, and that’s disorienting enough already. Why make it seem like he suddenly hates you bc he doesn’t see you as a peer, and that he would rather have you in a lord/servant relationship. Poor Michele.
