By the end, you can’t deny that chayoung is a really fucking good lover, husband, and father. But my god…. Early chayoung’s vibe was OFFFFFFF OH MY GODDD I CAN’T STAND HIM
Rationally I know that chayoung isn’t much compared to most ml in kr bls. It wasn’t as if his way of thinking is so bad either, he communicated clearly what he wants, kept it consensual (I’m just saying this loosely here…), and it’s clear that chayoung doesn’t want kids with random partners and properly used protection (I’m also saying this loosely here….) to prevent that, so his stance on the “accidental” pregnancy, although extreme, makes sense regarding his circumstances (possible gold digger, baby trapped, etc).
But because I love the character gyuha more, seeing how he’s less calculating and more about candid feelings, watching as he fall in love with early snake chayoung was just so heartbreaking. Chayoung’s not responsible to return everybody’s feelings, rationally I knew that. But it still sucks.
Although he did bounce back pretty quickly and became a devoted husband, and it’s so hard to hate him by then, but the glimpses to early chayoung still often made me think yeah you better always be on your fucking toes, chayoung….
Other than that, gyuyeong and gyuchan are such a gift to the world.
