You should reread chapter 0 where he explains what is Darkness Exploration Records. Its like a online forum where people collectively build a universe where there are darkness there that comes alive from ghost stories, in this fanfic forum there were companies that rule, one of them being the magical pharmaceutical company the MC is transported to, more specifically the field team exploration. But the world is built in this forum and is so popular that in the beginning he is a normal worker that enjoys reading the stories and even posts a few and he later goes to an event of this forum to buy some merch and participate in the roulette, where everything begins and he is isekaied to the reality of the site he used to read online and be a huge fan. Its a similar concept to Omniscient Reader Viewpoint but turned to horror stories!
