NOOOONONO im gonna gush abt this u guys dont get ittttt if he was like any other slop ML, he wouldve been suspicious of Hailey in a negative way and woulda been up in their arms abt possible betrayal
BUT NOOOO he considers everything out of pure concern for her health. he looks out for Hailey without being patronizing. he /wants/ to know abt the real her bc he himself knows that the person Hailey is around him, is seemingly not the same person everybody else knew her as. who could ever go out of their way to consider even long-lost supernatural abilities if not someone who truly loves you for yourself and wants to know whats hurting you !!!! he doesnt even know whats going on but hes trying his damn hardest to protect her ONLY HIMMM AAAAAAAA
