they're fated in a way that the seme is the only one who can smell the uke's pheromones bcs of how low it is and how the uke can only smell the seme bcs he's the only one compatible with him. as the uke said in the first chapter, he likes to think that he's that way "a defective omega" is bcs there's someone meant for him, his fated mate. though they're technically aren't, i still like to think they are (and i'm sure they both do too) haha
The science of “lowest level omega” and most “dominant alpha” being fated mates makes literally no sense. Or if it does, I don’t like it. Just let them be fated mates without needing to explain it in too many bogged down details.
