It cute that the author is talking about Yacchan wanting Kashima to rely on him to show that of his big brother complex. However I do wish that we actually see that more in the manga as we barely even see that no matter what Kashima or Yacchan are around one another. At of all the 3, Kashima is the one that is the adult in the room while Yacchan acts like the child which the author states.
Toono did win the character popularity poll so I am happy that he won as does indeed make things fun and funny in this series. And seeing Kashima and Toono won thr couple poll seems to make sense.
Also, though Yacchan is not at all a bad character and brings new elements to the story along with the Yarichin club. I do feel like there will be an acceptance arc coming for him. They way he is throughout this manga is his dark rivalry against his cousin who doesnt seem him as one. Kashima loves and adores him along with Toono who has already find his charms in a different way then how he is with Kashima. Since volume 1 Yacchan was already going into this fight trying to take his cousin crush as a way of payback for Kashima taking "his first crush" which we dont even see where that even went. He knew well enough that his cousin was in love with Toono and wanted to beat him. Heck he didn't understand why Kashima as in love with Toono in the first place and when Toono confessed that he "liked" him , he was so shocked that he couldn't help but laugh at him only for Yacchan to fall in love with Toono. But couldnt have thr confidence to tell him how he feels. Now that he see Toono "looking" at Kashima I think he knows that Toono is falling in love with him. So he now he going to fight even though he knew that his feelings might not be return. But keep in mind that Tamura still exist since volume 1.
I just wish that Yacchan would show more of wanting to be rely upon with his cousin and even with Toono to show he more supportive as the author states in the manga. He did that in volume 1 but once he finds out that his cousin has a crush on his classmates it turns into this annoying one side rivalry between them.
