First thing I must acknowledge is the design of the characters are amazinggg, even if they’re a little questionable… The plot is top tier and I’m so invested I keep having so many theories. Each update gives a little hint but it’s still not enough to fully see a picture.
I’m also loving the dynamics here. The way demon castle doc, 182 and Dante are slowly opening up to each other warms my heart, especially given the circumstances they went through till now. A core moment would be when 182 saved demon king doc despite how in the past the doc completely dismissed 182 when he was in a very vulnerable state. That chapter was heartbreaking for both of them, both had their own shit going on and was looking out for their survival. None were to blame, except the bastards who caused it. There’s been a lot of core moments (imo) in the chapters recently. With Nico (who I pray joins the teacher gng cause Ilhsm- aka my fav Shoulder atm) and his maternal-like relationship with Gonzales, Dante’s ‘ability’ and his ‘teaching’ towards the inmates, Lara’s past and her scenes with the baldie woman and Broom, and the night talk Dante and 182 had.
On that subject the way we can start seeing Dantes development is *chefs kiss*. I mostly love his determination in escaping, I mean, he even convinced demon castle doc. Idk, maybe it’s just how he’s still moving forward when being trapped in Fogland, isolated from the outside world of all places. Some people can hate about his flaws but I find them realistic in his situation. Yes he was loud, annoying asf, weak, stupid as hell (with ppl) and was only using 182 for his gains, I can’t help but accept those flaws of him. It’s realistic and seeing him slowly sprout those poetic teachings to others, doc and 182 really makes me agree with how 182 described him as the strongest in the world.
Still, I’m more eager in his family than anything. His Brother the most. Sometimes I feel like Dante might be one of those “unreliable narratives/narrators” but ima trust him for now.
Anywho, this Manhwa is peak and I’m so excited for future chapters. WELL DONE AUTHORR!!!
