Theories for what? The story is pretty straightforward. Past lovers meeting in a new timeline and have to re-fight a common enemy who has muted in the new world.
My theory is, ML made a deal with the demon. Like after knowing that the MC was framed and died because of it, he probably was guilty and of course wanted to meet him again, the demon prolly tricked him with a deal hence the curse
