And I still don’t give a shit that this MC has no backbone. Like, how much more are you planning to degrade yourself before you finally grow one? And honestly, this is probably the authors’ marketing strategy. They know people have this fucking curiosity and this constant hope that someday the MC will finally grow a backbone and actually do something. But nothing ever happens.
It’s basically ragebait. They keep teasing the exact thing you desperately want to happen because that’s what keeps your attention. If they actually let the MC grow a backbone and resolve the damn situation, you’d have no reason to keep reading.
