I agree but also he was reincarnated in a novel with the focus on a specific character, a character that is his beloved younger sworn brother it would be hard to stay out of the plot. And his master having survived is the master maneuvering the political field so...
I miss the times when the story focused more on him being a doctor doing medical-related stuff with a bit of murim/martial arts stuff. Now it focused more on cultivation, fighting etc
