Since we've already been given some clues, Professor Cha and Jiheon are siblings, so my theory is that Professor Cha --whether out of revenge against his father (since we know they had a bad relationship and it’s very likely that Professor Cha’s father is Jiheon’s father)—is obsessed with Jiheon’s mother, which is why, in some twisted way, he wants to help his brother. He tried to see if Wooju would let himself be influenced by him, but he manipulated them both so that, in the end, Wooju would present as an omega and give his brother a “gift” and that’s why there’s that text message at the end.
