I guess the problem with this manwha is that, obviously, it’s shit and toxic. I’m not going to deny that. But I think people call it “nostalgic” because they experienced it as this huge roller-coaster ride while it was still ongoing.
The problem is that you people read it chapter by chapter, week after week. Every time a new chapter dropped, you were waiting for it, speculating about what would happen next, getting angry, getting excited, and then coming back the following week. That experience can make even the most mediocre story feel memorable.
But when you actually read the whole thing in one go, you realize how bland the writing is. There’s barely any genuinely new storyline—it’s just one fucked-up situation after another stretched out forever. So yeah, I can understand why people find it comforting or nostalgic, but that doesn’t suddenly make the story good. You’re probably nostalgic for the experience of reading it, not for the actual quality of the story.
