No it's a sleep drug, at the manor it was so Michele wouldn't wander the building and find out that after putting him to sleep Ain was doing his work as Lord Sheleg, now that they're at the castle I think he's trying to get him to sleep because Michele has difficulties sleeping on his own, he misses the south and is in pain bc Ian lied to him
He wants to kill him too but that's another story unrelated to the drug he's giving him
