NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER let someone dull you shine even when it comes to their family. I understand caring for you family and all that shit, but if you have a partner or a significant other your duty to one another is to take care of each other and support one another. It should never be one always giving and one always taking and just giving back the bear minimum isn't enough, it has to be equal but it shouldn't be a competition.
