Super horror even in novel, I've finished part 1&2. So basically he existed because he's the good friend of himself that is an existing supernatural phenomenal (ghost story). So he was summoned then got destroyed almost immediately by Director Cheong (hate her sm) then was put in a good friend merchandise by Cheerful Research Institute then he began to solve the mysteries only to go back to the moment he was summoned. Basically the idea of no future without past and no past without future. Most of the questions about his existence was answered however it's still mysterious how the lizard chief came to be I guess it's tbc in part 3 of the novel.
