Been reading it so far and you're not wrong. On top of that, also the mind-numbing "this will be a though battle!" only to defeat the enemy in a few attacks without receiving damage.
And the artist is also pretty terrible at drawing fight scenes in general. Just think "a character strikes a pose and energy beams shoot to the enemy" type stuff. But not even in an interesting way.

There are a few decent to good ones imo. (though most of them still at least contain harem.)
-The world after the fall. (doesn't contain harem.)
-The Legendary Hero Is An Academy Honors Student.
-Solo Max-Level Newbie. (Some harem elements but he only has eyes for one woman.)
-Reincarnator. (No harem I think?)
-Player Who Returned 10,000 Years Later. (MC is seen by the world as the ultimate evil, but he just wants to live a fairly normal life again. It's a nice little twist compared to the usual.)
-I Killed an Academy Player. (Heavy harem, but the story becomes pretty decent and the MC has actual personality.)
