KMIYC is more the main thing with Chase . Which is finally explain here . (I’m gonna talk about the novel because the KMIYC manhwa if not done with the adaptation)

At first like everyone I thought he was an asshole just to be an asshole to Chase , then he says he did it to help, and its hard to believe it , and in the side stories he helps Josh get to Chase when he was in very bad shape while Josh asks him why, he says because Chase is his little brother .

So it makes you wonder , then we get a glimpse in the parents story and how bad in the head he was siince birth and the here in Desire me we actually understand he actually believed he was helping . Doesn’t take away the damage he did but makes you understand him more . And the only reason we get to understand him was because Dane was the first person in his life to try to understand how is head worked .
