Based on chapter 15 I’m getting the vibe that baekhee is ashamed of his survival tactic (not that baekhee always forced himself to like gyeom since he did used to have real feelings) But it surprises me since Baekhee isn’t afraid of other peoples opinions. He didn’t want Il-woo to see any struggles/personal problems and simply have a friend who sees him for *him* not knowing his past…. even before he developed love for Il-woo he truly felt a connection he didn’t want to lose or be judged by him….
Then after Il-woo’s confession or even before that, calling the feeling “strange” or finding the other weird… just goes to show how new they are to this thing called love.
Of course it’s not as if they lived completely without love, Il-woo for a short time had his dad…and baekhee and his boss care deeply about the other but it’s different from what they feel
