Just to let you guys know, this version of 240j (Timeline 1) are NOT lovers. Rather, they have a more family relationship. J does not see LSY anything more than just someone he should take responsibility for. Since LSY didn't awaken in this timeline, all the more reason for J to treat him as someone he should always protect.
It's stated in the author's postype! Same with Timeline 2, as J only saw him as a brother. Only Timeline 3 (which is the current one) are the ones to actually become lovers :)
