the impression i get is that yes, she moved on, however, she actually cares more than she lets on. i feel like she’s been nonchalant about it now because she knows how hard it was to change and improve herself, so she doesn’t want to revert to her past self. she was already insecure and self aware, way before kihyeon got into her life, yet he made those insecurities even worse. he really hurt her and we know he doesn’t even deny it through his pov. tbh i don’t think she resents him, she’s way past that, but she doesn’t want to entertain a version of herself that no longer exists.
what makes the time skip even more interesting is how he seems stuck in time and is obsessed with the past, more specifically the past version of them. notice how he doesn’t even spare a single thought for gaon, but the moment doyoung’s name comes up he goes into a spiral of emotions…. very befitting of the title “yearning”.
