I completely agree! Also, the professor seemed to have some ulterior motives for sure, but surprisingly turned out to be semi-decent? I think they were just deeply lonely individuals who formed a codependent relationship to cope with their sadness. It was kinda beautiful how they both learned let go that unhealthy situationship and move forward by the end (T^T)
I actually really enjoy the very quiet sorta melancholy atmosphere of this story, it does fall short on it's discussion of loneliness tbh and I really wish we got more about the professor and the tops relationship as a counter balance to the new relationship he's clearly much happier in, and it felt like they just suddenly wanted any conflicts to be resolved instantly, which fair enough it's that type of story but they could've used the fact that when he's working on his writing he's neglectful to those around him as a better Segway into his overall isolation and loneliness but, hey I'm not the writer so . overall it's short and sweet and I ended up liking it more than I thought even though the ending was lackluster, though not really surprised people's biggest concerns seemed to be that the top had a relationship previously but it's this site and everyone's weird about character's being humans for some reason.
