I feel exactly the same, and even more so after reading Amon's pov in the novel. The key to understanding him is that Amon really is not human and does not understand human emotions. Of course he has done many things wrong, but in the end it all comes from his misguided sense to care for Na-In.
But I really can't find myself hating Amon.
Don't get me wrong, I hate how Na-in is treated and his current situation. Maybe it's because I see more of Amon as something not human, so him acting like a territorial beast rather than a mortal with no common sense and human decency makes me like his character (in an "he's interesting" sense). Amon better take notes from Gwen on how to treat Na-in better
