The love triangle was so well-executed imo, and I love that both MLs got a happy ending. It’s clever how the creator ends the main story with Verta refusing to promise Blaine “forever”—we witness our MC stay true and honest to herself till the end, which also serves as a subtle setup for the side story.
I do think Blaine is the better match for Verta, given their chemistry and mutual authenticity in the relationship… BUT Van is totally my type hahaha the side story was all the better because it was laden with his lifelong pining and regret. I wish there were at least another 3-4 chapters of their side story. It’s such a waste that the creator didn’t capitalize on their dynamic with Verta dominating Van in bed!!
Aside from that, I agree with the other commenters that although Ver isn’t a good person (and frankly I’d never want to meet her irl), she’s such a likable character. She’s competent, confident, calculating, and commanding (many C’s haha). I think what makes her most compelling as a character is that she’s aware of her deviant values, yet she totally owns and consistently abides by them.
