Genuinely curious, how do you guys know the TL is AI? Because I didn’t even noticed until yall pointed it out
Well I don’t remember if the desirescan ever stated they used AI to translate manhwas but there’s a way to spot it

Compare the translations if the comic has multiple uploaders, You will immediately spot the better translated dialogues that actually sound natural from the uploader who has actually put in the effort. Desirescan’s translation is readable but it’s not enjoyable and sometimes incomprehensible. It happens when you copy and paste everything without editing nor fact checking.
Even if you use google translate,
still tones and idioms are super important when translating from a language to another because some terms just simply don’t work
(My professor would fail my ass right away if I use AI tools for my translating assignment without even bother to rephrase lol)
Also the fact that they use AI generated art says a lot.
Manhwa translators were once passionate now its just AI AI AI and not caring about the results
