This was given me UNIT 731 flashbacks ... Anyways the was such a psychological horror I would say... Is he loving the soul that inhabits the body, or is he loving the physical components i.e the heart beating in the chest that once belonged to his true love? Is human consciousness stored only in the mind, or is there a physical memory attached to our flesh and organs? Is he using the older brother as an empty shell to hold on to the ghost of the younger brother? Or by accepting the older brother, is he betraying the younger brother's sacrifice, or is he honoring it by loving the body that keeps his heart alive? Maybe love isn't purely the soul, nor is it purely the body. He doesn't see them as two entirely separate entities anymore. In his mind, the line separating the two brothers has dissolved completely.The younger brother sacrificed his life and gave his heart, limbs, and organs to the older brother.He cannot isolate where the younger brother ends and the older brother begins, making his affection twisted and grotesque. This story REALLY makes you wonder what exactly do we love in a person ??
