the author and artist are different people. yuuji never sugarcoated ilay or made him digestable to other ppl's liking. yuuji is the author and kanjak is the artist. ofc there are going to be many differences and not everything can get adapted into the manhwa, but the novel itself is way darker and DID NOT SUGARCOAT shit. so idk what you are going on abt
Honestly I feel the author is trying to make us not hate Ilay they are parts the author reduced like when Ilay was squeezing Taeui's dick she did emphasize it like in the novel or when she didn't mention properly that Ilay is a serial rapist that rapss both men and women some of them to death and makes Yuri Gable clean up the dead bodies now the author didn't even allow the artist properly draw when Ilay punched Taeui if I didn't read the novel I would be kind of confused I hate when authors change their stories when they make an adaptation if you're going to make you Ml a monster stick to it fully in your adaptation
