Because the inclusion of Momo isn't misogynistic, we need to see how she's treated in the future by the author, but this is not a "female character is used as a plot device in BL", at least not yet.
It's sad, and it's unfair, but like other people expressed in the comments, many queer people experience "straight" relationships out of denial or fear, sometimes both. Guy was beaten up by his brother for kissing a boy, he's in denial and trying to have a "normal" relationship, and sadly, a nice girl was caught up in that mess.
I'll give it to you if she ends up being depicted as a resentful girlfriend who wants to interfere when she notices what her boyfriend's actual feelings are, but Reo could come out of the closet to her, be sincere and apologise. We don't know yet, but stop assuming this is a plot device when it's something painful that happens to a lot of us.
