Stupid shit decision made by a stupid teenagers that still affects them 10 years later. Honestly, I am not surprised that he is so incredibly hated. Match fixing is the worst betrayal as an athlete. He wasted months of hard work of people , wasted their future just for one player. Does it matter if they were good or not? Their life will remain a what if now. A loss of future. Given that they were all going to a technical school , the very chance to go to college would have opened doors to their future. Now they'll never know.
Honestly, I hope in future he learns to forgive himself and then ask for forgiveness too. Theres a lot of healing left for him to do.
