I think Rian has a feeling that Enzo's past is complicated, but only realized it had twisted Enzo more than what he thought. Rather than thinking of 'how to fix this guy', I feel like Rian is thinking how to face Enzo from then on.
And for Enzo, no one can fix him as his past and environment around him already twisted him that much, but seeing how Enzo has softened to Rian a little, I think there's a hope that Enzo will be able to follow/adjust himself to Rian.
Dunno what will happen in the novel though, it's only what I get after reading the new chapter.
