Tbh not just first loves, any type of love tbh. Simply put, when it comes to love a lot of times people view the ones they love with rosen tinted glasses. So a lot of red flags either get ignored or completely overlooked.
That is how a lot of times people tent to get themselves in toxic relationships. Either due to the whole: "i can fix 'em" perspective, or they "too in love" to see/wanting to acknowledge, that there is a big red elephant in the room.
