I think that he almost got SA'ed. Cuz i remember him punching the guy and then escaped. Regardless whether he was or only almost got, it's still a scary situation to have been in, so his reaction is extremely valid and understandable tbh.

The main issue is that this is about a guy he trusted and felt extremely endeared to, so there is broken trust and everything that adds to stuff. So not just some random perverted creep, who tried to get his way with him, but actually someone he personally knew, trusted and even had feelings for.
Exactly, plus the sunbae is a guy who previously protected him from a perv, only to do the same thing to him after Hoyeon came to like and trust him, that's double the betrayal because it's not just a random stranger almost assaulting you but a friend and a crush.
