Honestly, I love this story. Everyone is flawed, and the way the author pulls it off feels so damn real and relatable. We don’t have a prince-like alpha or a miserable omega like the ones we usually see in omegaverse. They’re both so different from the typical way alphas and omegas are portrayed.
Actually, I really love the MC in this story. He’d rather act indifferent than add even more problems to his already overloaded mind. I genuinely love this kind of omega. Although, ngl, I was disappointed with how he changed in the sequel. I feel like it was more character regression than character development.
I HATE HATE HATE the alpha. He is reeeeaaaaally creepy. Like, genuinely creepy and such a coward, yet somehow unbelievably demanding toward the MC, while constantly blaming the MC for everything that happened. Gosh, he’s so fucking annoying. He thinks the MC’s words were so cruel and hurt his feelings, when like… HELLO??? Those were literally your own words being thrown right back at you!! Instead of reflecting on himself, he keeps focusing on his own misery. What a goddamn self-centered asshole.
And honestly, I’m grateful he stayed annoying even in the sequel. He was disappointed that the MC didn’t contact him and didn’t care about his feelings. Like, WTF?? Why the hell is the MC supposed to be responsible for YOUR feelings after that? Did you seriously forget the last things you said to him??? The fuck? Thank god he kept being nasty until the very end. I don’t need to feel guilty for disliking him. He is SO unlikeable.
As for the best friend, I actually like him. I know he’s really manipulative and his whole dark aura is VERY obvious, but honestly, he’s also incredibly reliable. Like, the MC can trust him to have his back no matter what. It’s just a shame that he also became more unlikeable in the sequel.
And the fact that the MC and the best friend are BROTHERS literally blew my mind. I wasn’t reading that carefully, so I’m not even sure whether they’re half-brothers or just stepbrothers tho
