even though i know kahu doesn't hold a candle to dylan, i still couldn't help but love him. he endured so much and gained nothing, trauma and love only ruined him but he still looks towards life with so much optimism that even their son thinks of him as an admirable tutor with a wise mind and kind heart.
i like him so much but i still didn't root for him, firstly because liz and dylan truly loved each other and second, i feel like it would only hurt kahu if he ended up with her because he would be reminded of their shared bond as successful experimental subjects...
