Also calling the dudes “ladies” when they were being lazy and slow and not “tough” enough when women, in fact, have higher endurance and pain tolerance and would be able to do better than men… is misogynistic. This whole story screams micro-misogyny.

Unfortunately, this is a very Japanese story… for a place so technologically advanced, they are eons behind the rest of the world in terms of social progression. It sucks because they have some amazing artists who are just being held back by these bizarre belief systems and disgusting and toxic social norms :((
