imo, starts EXTREMELY dubcon?? obviously, not in the sex-aspect but a lot of the kissing scenes at the start are pretty heavy leaning on that. one moment, ur thinking you should be dropping this but somehow they suddenly both have a reason for why they kissed that i, the reader, know nothing about/or somehow turns consensual. not to mention, the ml is rather...pushy. i get that it's his usual playboy antics that attract both men and women and all ages alike but in a lawful perspective, that's sexual harassment in the eyes of the mc. the chapter of him "joking" around about forcing himself actually almost had me dropping it had i not looked at the reviews, gulped, and forced myself to continue.
surprisingly, the story went down fine. i could care less about the second couple though. honestly, they seemed pretty bland to me and lacked info and scenes to really leave a lasting impression. but really, it depends on whoever's reading so maybe someone enjoys them. the plot actually gets better, though it's definitely needing depth/and pretty void in a few aspects/lacking backstory for certain characters, overall actually pretty decent and if the first volume just hadn't started off weirdly, i would have probably reread this.
also, just as an add on, im pretty sure the ml is a victim of csa. his adoptive father is a weirdo. his mom, definitely a predator (if you guys have read the last chapter). and all the older women and men around him are just... something. i honestly wished the author tackled in on it. not to mention, we also don't seem to see much of the mc's backstory aside from him rising to the ranks from commoner to noble. i would've really wanted to see that too!!!!!
