Hey, I’m the translator. If you’re a little confused right now, don’t worry — we’re still only in Volume 1, and a lot of the context hasn’t been revealed yet.

Volume 1 is mostly setting up the characters, their relationships, and the larger story.
Yutaka is a Sub who hasn’t had proper Play with a Dom for a long time, which has started affecting him physically, and Kazunari, his older half-brother, is a Dom. But there’s a lot more behind their relationship and Yutaka’s behavior than what has been shown so far.
Yutaka has trauma connected to his past and severe trust issues, which make it very difficult for him to let go and surrender himself to a Dom during Play (that’s why kazunari is so surprised to see him in subspace during their play in chapter 4),

Volume 2 goes much deeper into his past, his complicated relationship with Doms and Play, and why he reacts the way he does to certain things. It also reveals much more about Kazunari and Yutaka’s as characters.
There’s also a larger yakuza storyline developing in the background. Chapter 4 is starting to introduce the conflict involving Kazunari’s clan and Nowaki’s clan, and that side of the story will be explained and developed more as well.

So I don’t want to spoil too much, but Volume 1 is basically the setup for some of the bigger reveals and explanations in Volume 2. If some things about Yutaka, Kazunari, or the yakuza conflict still seem unclear right now, that’s because you haven’t been given all of the information yet

One thing I forgot to mention: the reason Yutaka is able to have Play with Kazunari specifically is because Kazunari is the only Dom he truly trusts. Yutaka himself doesn’t fully understand why he has such severe trust issues with other Doms or why Kazunari is the exception. That’s also connected to their past and will be explored much more later . Hope this helps!
