Firstly Daniel is an idiot for keeping her practically locked away when she litterally told him that she dislikes feeling like that all her childhood and thought of him as her saviour for granting her freedom. He needs to lock tf in and start thinking rationally.
Secondly IF Muriel DARES to betray our lady by siding with the emperor instead of Daniel in guise of protecting our lady I'M going to be absolutely livid. Because it's lowkey feeling like some foreshadowing, like some second male lead bs of 'I was only thinking about your best interests, Daniel isn't right for you'. Muriel you're overstepping your position. You're task is to protect your lady, not interfere in her love life nor is it to get mad and upset when another guard is brought in. You're practically constantly trying to get her to go back to her maiden home even though she's clearly much happier here.
It's honestly a tad infuriating how much these people are thinking of her so little, they claim they're doing it with her best interests at heart. Yet they're lying to themselves as much as to her.
