the way i got major ick from the mc and the author. lemme put my woke glasses and give my two cents for two secs bc in the beginning hes so.. disrespectful and gross. theres a huge difference between thinking ‘hey they look sus’ or ‘nah they fucking’ when you see two men/women being bff/tight irl. do what you want with fictional characters but the way mc puts label like ‘hes seme hes uke’ and keep referring them with that label in his head (esp when riku is nothing but polite and nice to him) is so demeaning. mc saw them as nothing but men to be objectified and fetishized instead of real human being with feelings and personality. he even disregard riku’s feeling for him with ‘hehe im dating the uke hehe so i can sit front row for ‘content’ and unethically ship them in my head hehe’ and before people stone me and said ‘its not that deep’ ik there are some people who literally do and normalise this irl (kpop fandom space, stan actors etc).
