obviously the idea of initiating anything sexual with someone who is unconscious and hasn’t consented to it is wrong, and i think that distinction is important, but i do think there’s a collective of people who enjoy the idea of being woken up that way within a consensual context, and i’d include myself in that collective

for me, the chapter was actually a pretty good visual example of what that can look like when it’s something both people have already established they’re comfortable with the person is asleep, the other person initiates the foreplay, and then once the person is conscious and or clearly actively participating, it continues from there. obviously not everyone is going to be comfortable with that, and that’s completely okay, but i think the same acceptance should go both ways. people who aren’t into it should be able to say “that’s not for me” without judgment, and people who are into it consensually shouldn’t be judged for that either
