I like how the "love story" (NOT the romance) here is really between the FL and her brother, similar to the twist in Frozen where the "true love's kiss" that broke Anna's curse is from her sister, not some guy she just met. That focus in the sibling relationship remained consistent from beginning to end, and given how the FL's main romance target seems to be the literal god and she's only 15 when the story ended, I'm glad that that subplot ultimately didn't go anywhere.
The FL/ML romance must have been what's planned for the side stories, presumably after FL has become an adult physically, but someone said the side stories have been canceled, so ╮(￣▽￣)╭
