I kinda hate when Korean webtoons go out of their way to have Koreans speak only Korean even though it's literally no hassle to just type the words in a different colour and act like they're speaking another language. Like, you went through the trouble of planning a trip to Spain and you didn't think maybe a little bit of Spanish would help you get by? At least if she spoke English, I'd say that's understandable since it's the Lingua Franca, and you can usually find someone who understands English in any European country, but she only speaks Korean and didn't even bother with a translator app. And then oh so conveniently, there's a Korean nearby that is willing to help and he's also gonna be the male lead that follows her back to Korea. It's not an impossible scenario, but why not just let the character have a functional understanding of the language that they're going to encounter? I've really never understood the reason behind that. I guess this is just me venting my frustrations with tourists that don't bother trying to learn a common language with the country they're encountering, or at least planning to connect with a local who speaks your language so they can help you interact with the country.
